This Sunday we celebrate the 47th Birthday of Taiwan Hash – or China Hash as it has mainly been known. Back in 1975 our hares Pinhole and Duplicate were a pair of mischievous school boys, and even then they spent their weekends chasing the local talent around the countryside of Yilan County. 本週日我們將慶祝台灣健龍 (前China Hash) 的四十七歲生日, 1975年彼時我們的兔子 Pinhole 和 Duplicate還是兩個屁孩, 在宜蘭過著週間認真週末追星的日子。 One Sunday as they waited for the bus home, a strange looking foreigner weaved along the road and finally collapsed to the ground in front of them “Oi, where can I get sum good ol’ chilled piss for me and me thirsty tart ‘ere?” (hashers used to sound like pirates in the old days, if you don’t believe me refer to Bamboo’s book or the Taipei Hash, ‘About TH3’ webpage: shorturl.at/enzGM). 一個周日, 當他們在等客運回家時, 突然有個奇形怪狀的老外歪七扭八的走到它們面前後突然倒在地上, 問：「欸, 林北金嘴搭, 涼ㄟ叨位買?」(據說當年健龍仔都操討海人口音, 不信的話可以拜讀一下Bamboo的新書或看看Taipei Hash (shorturl.at/enzGM) Obligingly, the scared pair ran to the local store and grabbed him a couple of cold ones. After downing the beers, the strange bloke came to his senses “Oh bloody shiiite, I aint got any dollar for ya”, the stunned pair fell in to silence, he had drunk their bus money and they had to get back to Yilan. “Best come with me and I’ll get that old wanker Organ to sort you out”. And so it happened, our hares ended up attending the first run of the China Hash! 受到莫名的使命感驅使, 兩個屁孩衝去雜貨店買了幾罐「涼的」, 幾杯啤酒下肚, 奇怪的老外才終於醒來：「厚靠北啦! 我沒帶錢」。此時屁孩陷入一片寂靜, 他把他們的車費喝完了, 但他們還要回宜蘭! 「對挖來, 我叫那個老屁股 Organ搞定。」也因此兩位兔子踏入了他們的第一趟 China Hash 跑跑! It is only fitting then, that this Sunday the hares will re-trace their steps and take us back to that day.
